Mschere-It is clear Nokia is challenging the validity of IDCC's 2G patents in the English Court. Also, as best as I can read the Nokia complaint, Nokia states that they do not intend to sell covered 3G products in the U.S. until after 2006, when the current license expires. If Nokia is successful, however, an invalidity ruling by the Court would be effective the date the judgement issued and would not just apply after 2006. Nokia today is challenging the validity of the patents during the term of the license.
