Even though dumar has developed an incredibly annoying habit of being wrong (even when he's right):

I still have hopes that he was correct when he suggested that this will mark the end of the silence, and may actually be beneficial to WLSA: http://investorshub.advfn.com/boards/read_msg.aspx?message_id=50605553

As a long-time lurker, I wanted to say...

This is it people!

Sink or fly, now that Copernic has officially withdrawn, we should know soon enough. Why are people upset over the Copernic thing anyway? Besides that sketchy promise of 5-years worth of Fanotech's US sales, we weren't getting anything from them. Have people forgotten that they were actually taking 1.4 million dollars of OUR money? I have no idea why Simmonds started dealing with them, but bottom line, we were getting screwed!

Just because they backed out, doesn't mean the plasma plants aren't still on. Maybe Simmonds realized they weren't paying enough. After throwing in the methane power plant, he probably demanded a huge premium. Who knows, maybe this was just a creative way to get THEM to pay the penalty for dropping that painfully indebted Fanotech. My point is that we DON'T know and should probably wait for an explanation before crying foul.

Chiroman07,

With NLI's PR it now makes it a little clearer about what happened to this proposed alliance and who called it off. I'm sure that was a difficult decision after so much effort was expended and people's expectations were high.

To me, the value of the CNIC alliance was obviously in the NASDAQ listing and I believe they also have $5mm in cash. They planned to use $1.5mm of this to acquire Fanotech and I assume the rest to get things going with Sunbay plants. It seemed odd to me that they recently announced a software acquisition. It didn't fit with the new direction. I was guessing that they were buying it as a pass-through to New Look (new A.C. Simmonds) as part of the reorganization. It now looks like they were actually sticking with their previous business plan, which would reduce their committment to waste-to-energy projects with their remaining cash. Since John Simmonds & group were only acquiring 20% of CNIC and have only 2 of 5 board seats, I guess it was better to know this sooner rather than later.

That leaves Sunbay Energy and Fanotech (both private and wanting to go public) still to be acquired and developed. We'll have to wait to see what WLSA ends up with now that CNIC is out, but these are the pieces that have the most business potential. The NASDAQ listing will have to wait. Right now, I am more interested in getting our quarterly reports filed again.
