On Endorsement deals: im an in-house counsel at a company who has Shaquille O'neal (Shaq) as spokesperson, in addition to numerous other big names. I see / negotiate the contracts. I can tell everyone to relax if you're worried about the initial spend on a celebrity. Usually, there's no need for a huge up front payment...the payments are usually centered around how many day-long shoots occur...and other benefits based on increase in sales post commercial launch, etc. So sit tight and enjoy...
regardless of who it ends up being, big or small, not to worry. the spokesperson is peripheral to the core value of the company.
