Well I did find this but it was news from earlier in the week:

But if you read the news article it talks about the product being a solvent and this part I've taken out of the article because I feel MOPN's best use in this tradegy is on land to return it to environmentally sound as quick as possible with it's biodegradable product. The part I've highlighted does not mention that NALCO can do anything on the oil that is about to hit land or in some parts already has.

"Nalco makes a range of chemical products for the energy industry, including an "oil spill dispersant" called Corexit 9500.

"Corexit 9500 is used to disperse oil spilled on the sea, thereby minimizing its environmental impact," according to a Nalco product bulletin.

However, Nalco is predominantly a water treatment company, and oil dispersing solvents are a relatively small part of its overall business."
