that yesterdays move was not totally an accident... When the manipulators want to move the markets down they hit the futures first, right...??? (S&P E-minis, etc) They know how the system will react to "certain trades"...and they Make it Happen... The programmed quant machines, flash trades, high frequency black boxes just do as they are set to do..by humans...
hock: the SEC has been castrated by our Senate and Congress over the last couple of decades.
Our government has changed rules too many times because of the influence of money from very powerful people. Our SEC is told to back off. They surf porn because why bother doing anything else...because they will be told to look the other way.
They only way you hurt the crooked investment community is to put them in prison and take a good portion of their personal assets, based on laws that already exist. A couple hundred thousand dollar fines to an investment firm are just the price of doing business (payola).
