FWIW, I have always considered Pat to be an idiot that never could decide whether he was a conservative or a liberal.
He just seems to always be against the populace, no matter which way it's heading.
You know, I find it hard to distinguish between tree hugging and whale loving liberals and bible toting conservatives. Both want to "convert" everyone to their way of thinking.
To me a "capitalist" should just present the facts and allow one to draw her/his own conclusion.
Which is where I stand.
I feel I am a "moderate".
I lean both ways where politics are concerned.
But neither the far left nor the far right feel you can be a "moderate".
Which is why I draw a comparison, even though they are diametrically opposed.
But, one fact is clear.
Terrorists need to be eliminated. Plain and simple. Do we have the money to do it? I believe we do. Mainly because as we topple one dictatorship after another, the people will see that we are not there to hurt them but to help them.
Am I looking at it too much thru rose colored glasses?
