I'm getting the same error message today. This is the first day I have fired up X-Dev in about 10 days. I tried to reach Myst on a question a few weeks ago and he did not reply. I hate that he is not supporting this software. I still think it is darn good stuff and is a huge help to me.

If anyone has any ideas about this, please comment.

My only guess is that it might have something to do with Yahoo feeds, since you get the error message immediately on startup and anytime you put in a new symbol to X--Dev. My portfolio is still intact. That's usually the fist to blow out and need repair.

Go back and search on the post you made in 2006 and the subsequent replies from Myst.

I am also geting the error 13: type mismatch pop up on XDEV. I have never seen this before over several years. Were you able to resolve this issue? I have been led to believe that it is a miscommunication between the program and the data provider.
