My Board of Directors thought that same way. They couldn't understand why credible investors weren't competing because our science or technology was so hot. Unfortunately, it doesn't hardly ever happen that way. All companies present their science as the greatest achievement of mankind to lure investors and money. There is always that pot of gold around the next corner. Consequently, angel investors are mainly impressed by persistence. They are out there, but their DD process is hell to get their money.
I only wish that I could sell some rare paintings and become sufficiently liquid to be one for this company. Also, I did not lock myself in with investments that aren't liquid. I was not part of this decision.
