some brokers just operate that way when I come across a stock that cant be traded online and the TA on said stock is pointing up I call the broker and lock in my order on the phone thats just me...GL

I have the same problem. When I called they said NO BUY / Only SELL.. There are many penny stocks are restricted by them. TD and zcc allows that though..It's better to have another 2-3 account.

ST is probably short the stock, get yourself a new broker like zecco, they never restrict online buying ever !
