Libyan, I owe you an apology. I checked some old PRs and it was Ben Gala, not Bin Gala. I lived in the Arabian Gulf area for 5 years and knew of lots of Arab men with Bin in their names. I never knew of one with Ben. I can't say there are none. I never remember seeing one.

With my experience with the name Bin, I must have just read past the spelling. Sorry.

Libyan, I said in a previous post than RG told me his real name on the phone. He said he was Libyan / American and that his parents had moved back to Libya. During the conversation he said he anglicized his name for business purposes.

In the 2005 - 2007 days most of the GFCI traffic was on the Raging Bull GFCI board. If you care to check there for reference to RG's name, good luck. There have been about 11,500 GFCI posts on iHub. There have been over 47,000 on RB.

Maybe some other old timers will drop by and confirm that RG's real name was common knowledge. I do think we spelled his name "Giani"
