Pls . There are banks, creditors, pipers, vendors, subordinated claims, NIPRID, NAFDAC, et al. This isn't like exchanging a defective tire rim under warranty.

The groups that were asked to submit proposals would have to take on the XN debt because the debt is with the banks that are asking for the proposals.

You're idea has been considered and would fall into a Plan (insert preferred number or letter here that is later than 'Plan A'). It's sitting there as a contingency, but buried deep in the vault for now...
