I've had a small ranch down here for 8 years.I'm at about 5,600 ft. elevation, so the temp. differential from Phoenix is a welcome respite! I don't work for La Migre, but one of my neighbors up the canyon does.

We have LOTS of Coues deer. In fact, I see 6-9 on my property every morning and evening. Also quite a few javalena. Never seen a mulie, I don't think they range around here. Also see coatamundi, tons of jackrabbits and desert white tailed rabbits. There are wild turkey in the Huachucas, but I've never seen one :-(

Great efforts are being spent to reinvigorate the wild turkey population ... there's not many these days and I really support the conservation efforts to get their numbers back up.

This is god's country ... I love it!
