I've had a small ranch down here for 8 years.I'm at about 5,600 ft. elevation, so the temp. differential from Phoenix is a welcome respite! I don't work for La Migre, but one of my neighbors up the canyon does.
We have LOTS of Coues deer. In fact, I see 6-9 on my property every morning and evening. Also quite a few javalena. Never seen a mulie, I don't think they range around here. Also see coatamundi, tons of jackrabbits and desert white tailed rabbits. There are wild turkey in the Huachucas, but I've never seen one
Great efforts are being spent to reinvigorate the wild turkey population ... there's not many these days and I really support the conservation efforts to get their numbers back up.
