It's a FAKE! Search for Washington Mutual on the Bloomberg site- every time it is mentioned as "WaMu", not "Wamu" as his screenshot shows. Nice try bud.

(EDIT) I don't think it's fake. Could be wrong, but after zooming into it, I didn't see any signs of editing. Opened it up in a text editor and it did say that Adobe was used, but again, no crop lines and EXACT font. Could just be where they pasted and saved it too.

At the risk of losing credibility, I claim this as real, or a very very good forgery.

Emailed Bloomberg awaiting a response. Not holding my breath, but if JPM can respond to me, then maybe they will as well.

Now, in retrospect, it fits. The headline and the timing.

I think the info about the (proposed) settlement leaked on tuesday, just look at the pps. Someboy knew what was coming and how to play it.


EDIT: I think Bloomberg has been the first news agency to post the news about the "settlement" on friday. Way ahead of any other homepage/news network. Figures.
