Unless Hoges has a ex-SEC officer who was on the CMKX case and he has proof of a sting and willing to testify to the same. How can Hoges have a case?

Exactly. All the SEC people need to do to defend themselves is to say there was no sting. They don't even have to prove it. The burden of proof is on Hodges.

What's he gonna do? Cite Story? Tramp? That won't get him anything but belly laughs.
