Let's split the difference and call it a 35 Billion settlement.

I remember reading today that there was some type of offer but someone said it wasn't enough or did I misunderstand what I read?

I know a $50 billion dollar settlement sounds ridiculous to many of the green-horns on this board, but what is even more ridiculous than that is that JPM would STILL walk away with a BIG smile on their faces after paying it!

Remember all of the Subsidiaries, Dividends, Intellectual Property, and a whole plethora of OTHER assets that WE do not know about (thats a deduction by me of course).

JPM is making billions of dollars a year on the assets/mortgage that once belonged to WMI! Thats COMPOUNDING returns that should be ours!

We don't even need to discuss damages....which is good because I know nothing about how they will be calculated! LOL

I am not saying I believe it will be more than $50bn settlement or less...but is is certainly viable IMO.
