Shore is proving this now. Evaluating diamond test results is unique because the quality factor is also brought in. An ounce of gold is the same in any mine in the world. A carat of diamonds is not. I could have 1 carat of bort that would be worth maybe $5 ?? from my mine and you could have 1 carat of 'pink' from your mine that might be worth $500. Diamond results are usually stated as carats per 100 tonnes but say nothing about the quality or size of the stones because a carat is merely a unit of weight.
