Here's a few posts to start with. This is a IDCC thread and you and everyone else knows that but yet you continue to mention your stocks or picks time after time. Now just imagine if the other 700 or 1000 members broke the rules like you do and mentioned their picks. This place would be a mess.

You are a member of IHUB so use the PM feature to give others your stock picks and give them your e-mail to respond to you.

By you not following the rules like the others is how you tick me off.

OT ED what are you saying that is new, sure we have bull markets and bear markets, right now signs point to a bull market, if this is a bull year stocks will fly and the players will make money

when we are in a crappy bear like 2001-2003 you have to be defensive, move into gold funds, whatever you deem to be safe

how do you know when this up market will end, it could on another 2 or 3 years, i tend to think we are in an up cycle and 2004 will be another up year for the dow and nasdaq, so if you are a defeatist go into a safe position and keep your principle without making any money, i will bet the opposite and i will make money

also don't try to compare this to the nasdaq bubble of the late 90's, very hard to compare to old years, too many different factors going on, i think that time period weeded out the weak companies from the real ones, the ones like lucent and nortel will survive and their share prices will rise

and of course i love SIRI

remember ed this is 2004 try to think creatively don't just make a simple comment about the nasdaq bubble, try to think a little

we could only dream of that much growth in a year, but the funny thing is, our resident guru's like to tell us we can't get over 50 or 100 because of whatever numbers they throw at us, well if they looked at TASR in February would that same guru say yes based on the numbers I believe this stock can get to 100 this year, that's why it is all hogwash, nobody sees it coming, if they did they would have jumped all over xmsr last november

so when that resident guru says don't buy SIRI or IDCC can't get over 50 let alone 100 I laugh in his face

OT DD, thanks for the reply, I understand what you are saying with the numbers, but they said the same thing about xmsr and it went from 2 to 27 in a year, i just think with certain stocks it is not always about the numbers, siri and xmsr was in the 60's around 99 or 2000 before they even started selling the service, just on the potential alone, if wall street projects a certain number of subscribers over the coming years then the value of the shares goes up, and if it keeps adding subscribers then people want to buy the stock, i think you have to ask yourself do you believe in sat radio if you do then buy the stock, yes i know 10 dollars is high, but i think in 2 years it is over 20 dollars a share and that is why i made the purchase and i made the purchase with money i made in the jan 2.50 calls so i don't care if i lose it all

OT dmiller I still think xmsr is a good play now although I would not get in just because of the incredible run from 2 to 27, however if you believe it will be the only company then you should definitely buy

I believe that the market can sustain two companies, much like there are two big mini dish companies in Dish Network and Directv

Siri could tick on another dollar or two in the month of January and I would not be surprised by 10 to 20 dollars a share this summer, it could follow the same progression xmsr followed last year

Don't remember the last time I asked for your picks, I am sure you make some good ones and some bad ones. I think Siri ends up 2004 between 10 and 20 and Idcc ends up between 50 and 100, tell me something when Idcc does get to 50 will you admit you were wrong

OT how is that supposed to end the siri discussion

http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=2027477

gejim siri will up more than any of your picks in 2004 eom

http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=2025916

gejim it is about having the insight to go with a great product, i love how a lot of people get wrapped up in the numbers, it is not about numbers, subs, debt, shares outstanding with these companies, it is about a product that we feel there is a market for and will succeed, if you believe that then you buy siri and xmsr, simple, those numbers will turn, again it is about the product, we believe in satellite radio

tell me something what stock is without risk

we better do more than just break 25, i am looking for 50 in 2004, anything under 30 would be bad, i have seen too many stocks rise 5 times or more in 2003 and idcc was not one of them, siri, xmsr are good plays, if you had invested in xmsr last thanksgiving you would have a ten bagger and i did tell people to invest at the time

i am in with all of my money in idcc as well, still waiting for that big pay day, but like i said we have not ridden the train that so many companies have this year, for me to be happy we have to rise 300 percent from today's numbers

OT My first pick for 2004 is TIVO, we'll see how I do over GeJim's picks, I will write down his first pick which is NIKE

So far in 2003 my picks have all done well including xmsr, imds, aria, siri, apple computers, pixar, halliburton

The way I pick them is simple, don't care about charts and don't get deep into the financials of the company.

I follow one of the strategies employed by Peter Lynch and it seems to have worked wonders. Good Luck.

Of course me mentioning names does not effect the stock in any way just like to go head to head with some of the self professed gurus here, we will see who does better

Remember those so called gurus who are saying IDCC will never reach the hundred level, well they never picked QCOM before the big run, they did not buy MSFT or Home Depot when they went public, so these gurus are only good when it comes to picking up a few points and then trading out of the stock, they are never there for the story stocks and they are never there before the rush occurs. That is why I don't give them any of my attention. Buona Fortuna.

gejim i still like siri, although i called for xmsr buy last year up almost 6 times, and siri earlier in the year up 4 times, i still think both are a good buy, especially siri, only 2 companies do satellite radio and i think it will be very popular
