Yes I'm not certain, but I think there have to be real shares for you to borrow before you can short sell.

Super nice day guys. Morning was all selling but the bid support held up well. In the afternoon there was 150,000 bought on the ASK versus only 5,000 shares sold on the Bid. I don't expect double digit increases every day and wouldn't be surprised if we churn in the mid 3s to low 4s for a bit. Should see a little resistance in the low 4s but once we break resistance and close above, it becomes support. We look to be close to breaking the 200 day MA. I've been quite content to hold as I expect March to be strong going into the close. Today's trading was quite encouraging IMO.
