Thanks for the info. I am aware of the definition of insider trading. I would have to respectfully disagree with your assertion that the release of the timeline of a development project through a PR would be insider trading. If JD were to selectively tell someone, that would be insider trading.

Under your application of the definition of insider trading, the buying and selling of a stock as the result of a company stating that it will do anything on a date would be insider information... the buying and selling on release of the timeline for the HOSS deal was, under your definition, insider trading. What you are saying is that a company can never release a timeline on anything because people could buy and sell in anticipation of the pre-announced event. Companies put out PRs every day saying that they are going to do something on such a date or that they anticipate some project or event to be completed by such a date... that is what PRs are for.

LOL omg

JD cant announce a timeline because he doesnt have one. IMO he is simply making this up as he goes....its truely comical!! There is nothing illegal about him putting into his PR that they expect there first prototype to be done by such and such a date.

JD has never given any details out about anything. This way he protects himself from being sued or from the SEC. He knows that if he keeps these pr's vague then no one can come after him later. He is truly a smart guy, too bad he didnt put all of that cleverness into the company.
