They need the money so they can run away to doggy Recaf island and live happily ever after. Looks like his deviuos plan to spend all that time going to school and pretending to devote his life to commercialize Recaf has finally paid off. We'll probably never see Dr. Moro again. All that money is probably going into a secret Swiss bank account as we speak.
