Rod-In sheer number of persons, if not in dollar volume, the cult of the CMKX's surpasses by far the Dutch Tulip Mania. Of course there are a lot more people now, and the Internet makes for efficient cult recruitment and maintenance activities.

And as is the case in all financial bubbles. a small number of people at the top were enriched at the expense of the great unwashed, who maintain the faith but have lost all of their money.

I would to have access to complete TA records in order to analyze the distribution of dollar investment by shareholder. Like many other distributions of this type, I'll wager that the hard core culties account for only a small fraction of dollars invested per person.
