CORRECTION!!!

Dimon exercised options to buy 1,864,486 shares of stock with his options between $28.86 - $30.06 per share, then sold 1,613,558 of them. It means he owns 251,000 or so more shares now than he did on 2/2/10.

This isn't a good indicator for investors, though. I mean, we don't know when the options were set to expire, but if the CEO is banking that the stock price will decrease, then that's not bueno.

Ramirez,

If Dimon has just sold $120M worth of JPM shares, then what is the rule on insider trading issue?

Now, if Dimon knows that settlement will come very soon and that will make JPM stock to go down and if he sells his shares now, does not that count as insider trading?

I do not remember the rules on insider trading issues but this event, Dimon's selling of huge amount of JPM stock, might give us a clue about the earliest date when a settlement can come.

Do you know the time issue or regulations on insider trading?

Thanks
