Derfie, I have a question of the day!

Most posters on this board refer to their wives as "wives." But you always refer to your wife as "my spousal unit."

My question is, when you and your wife go out socially, do you introduce her as "my spousal unit" or "my wife"? And what would she do to you, if you ever dared use the term "spousal unit" in reference to her?

I find the term very disrespectful to your wife, who I'm sure is a very lovely lady.

I hope you'll respond without your usual sarcastic, deflecting remark. Because I find it just as disrespectful as those here, who refer to their husbands as "the other person in my house."
