Sinopec/the Chinese are miles and miles ahead of anyone else who might be a potential competitor for assets in the region. India won't pay and Brazil doesn't need the region to feed the machine. Money cures all bad relations.

Good point Troy, And just in case some did not connect the dots, the raw data/drilling results can be shopped around to India, Korea, Chevron, etc. while looking for the highest bidder. Now before there is an attempt to link the "refined" results we are anticipating and the raw (preliminary) data that "may" be shopped, please understand that raw data can EASILY be argued as non-material to shareholders (lack of enough probability of being accurate) and therefore does not have to be released.

This is no different from a major contractor being given preliminary "confidential" drawings so they can be farmed out to various crafts, i.e., electrical, mechanical, steel, concrete, and suppliers. The contractor is using "raw" data to put a bid together and the contractor's shareholders do not know a thing about it. What the shareholders want to know is when the award is made. In most cases (my experience), the shareholders are not even advised if the contractor does not win the award.

The only difference between the two scenarios is that the owner gives the contractor permission to shop the drawings/plans. If ERHE is shopping the raw data then it is being done under the table, i.e., Nigerian style.

And how many people do you think ERHE has that can interpret that data. Maybe one, but likely zero. Does that mean they went out and hired someone to do it? I have seen no indication of that happening. Have you?
