I think that pennypincher44 believes that if the brokerage (and WHY does that state with the word BROKE) doesn't have your shares available to them then they can't be lent for short selling.

Thus if EVERY shareholder called their broker tomorrow and said I want my certificate the naked short sellers would become exposed because they don't have a certificate to give to the MM to give to us.

I believe he is implying by taking the certificates into our hands we can take control of the market and not let the MM devalue our stock
