AIG, CITI are like Iraq and Afghanistan and LEH and WAMU are like Somalia and Haiti. One country and company gets bailout, the other company gets it too late and too little or not at all. Sir, with all due respect, Everything on IHUB is a personal opinion. And like you state; neither of us talk for the Marine Corps, but rather as Marines. Your wrong, GITMO and Roosevelt Rhodes are both US Naval Bases within less than a days sail from Haiti, both with large enough man power reserves to have responded more promptly. The 2nd Marine division is not in Iraq, portions of that division are, last week was the last mission in Baghdad, the Marines moved out. Let’s be really clear, it's not he AFGHAN's Marine Corps. ITS OUR MARINE CORPS! The 2nd Marine division is headquartered in Jacksonville, North Carolina NOT Iraq. 80,000 Marines are there right now, along side another 100,000 101st and 82nd Airborne troops at Fort Bragg and along the East Coast. IN 1994 our Carriers didn't need to go into the port, we converted the carriers into amphibious gator boats by putting Blackhawks on the deck of the jet-carriers with troops and tents. The carriers were 2400 yards off shore. With all due respect, we don't need ports in 2010 or in 1994 or in 1944 to stop a genocide from propagating.

As far as the "super veterans" who served in WW2, Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan are concerned, your "super" status just got put on hold last week. Senator Lautenberg apologized in a letter last month to me for the discrimination towards wounded veterans from Haiti who are taking 2nd place to wounded Iraqi and Afghanistan veterans in processing for benefits. Anyone who feels their war was more important than Somalia, Haiti, Korea, Bosnia or any of the other forgotten wars needs to really take a look at the big picture. It's becoming so black and white even a blind person can tell.

Everything older Marines like you and my Army officers like my father taught me was to help those who need the help most, and that is NOT what we are doing. President Obama had his last Marine mission completed last week. Things had wound down long ago, and there is no excuse for a 12 to 15 day delay in getting those ships and troops there. We should have been ready for this. Instead we have billions of dollars going to prop up BOFA bonuses and JP Morgan seizures of banks with the FED's guns to peoples heads.
