I'm not putting much weight on this issue. The spot was obviously put together pretty fast, less than 48 hours after the event. What if the reason was as simple as DC was out of town and was not available? There could be many other valid reasons as well.
That said, knowing Leinwand's past doesn't give me warm and fuzzies. As an investor it actually makes me want to go take a shower.
