Well, their focus up til now has been getting the creditors paid as much as possible.....not getting recovery for shareholders.....that has all changed, cause now we got our own dog in the hunt......z

Couldn't agree more... I think we are all somewhat concerned at this point, but remember we have an EC now unless the judge says otherwise. Our interests will be represented. We wouldn't be here right now if they hadn't done what they have. According to the MOR and the recent news with NOL's and what seems to be an obvious conclusion to the SJ, at least prefs are in the money, pending outstanding claims against WMI are thrown out.

I can't help but wonder if JPM stated in negotiations that a requisite to them signing anything was for Weil to oppose the EC just so that they can come in and "offer" an amount that will satisfy all the equity to some extent making them look like they were trying to do the right thing.

Who knows...

I agree. We have no idea or evidence of Rosen and Co trying to shaft shareholders, this is all mindless speculation. We have to keep our cool. If the debtors oppose the EC, then Weil would need to argue against it. I don't like the statements (someone tell Rosen to knock it off). I will feel much better when THJMW approves EC.
