A spinge should only be used on a non-scratch surface. Using on on your car's paint job is beyond stupid. That is why I believe most of the car wash sponges were sold to shareholders. They are exactly the brightest bulbs in the tulip patch.
Did you actually use the sponge on your car and are not happy with the results? I don't understand if your suggesting it wont work, or that you actually tried it.
