#9626 RE: VistaViewer #9623

I've been watching this CEO a long time Vista

Frankly I am starting to have my doubts about success of the DOD competition. Before any further bear in mind no one would like to see an Identa/DOD contract more than I would right now but as time marches on the signs are not good here is my reasoning.

1) I believe I know two other competitors and if I'm right about who they are then we are up against some very sophisticated adversaries. I'm not going to say who because it's not verified but for DOD to pick us over them put it this way, we'll be extremely fortunate to get the nod IMHO

2) The Indian Head training and familiarization period with ALERT detectors (unless we're not updated) is now officially over. That time as you previously noted was already unusually lengthy. I can't imagine why any more delays unless they have sent Identa back to the drawing boards with a customized request for the ALERT detector. Should they have done so I'm very confident a PR would have updated shareholders on that fact. If we have "won" then that is possible but here is why I'm starting to wonder. This CEO loves to point out the economy accuracy and other upsides to the ALERT line. We are due news very soon if not already according to any previous governance. WHY IS THE CEO TOTALLY MUTE ABOUT ANY PROGRESS is the question everyone wants the answer to right now. Valid question IMO an update is certainly expected. It's pushing end of trading week if he is going to PR in the next week I would expect news Monday maybe Tuesday so market can digest the news during trading hours.

3) Did you get any updates on the China negotiations? Remarkably huge potential and here we are a year later and not ONE WORD. My point is simply this it's entirely possible we may never hear another word officially on DOD just as China went silent.

Now obviously there will be at minimum two camps on the above and I probably sound a little harsh on the CEO. I wouldn't agree I am going on past performance and all info provided to date trying to be as fair and realistic as possible. I hope I'm wrong but I will be straight up with you it's a little too quiet surrounding the DOD contract I find it increasingly difficult right now envisaging IDTA as the winner take all scenario we are all hoping for. I'm not getting any more confident as time slips away here either. Yes admittedly given the bomb detector sales climate, given the client who we are dealing with it's possible there were hitherto unforeseen delays encountered by Identa. So why hasn't the CEO gone to press about that? Callin 'em as I see 'em VV. Incidentally Vista very busy here you have a PM on Skype, thank you.

Best, Rich.
