"Majority beliefs" -- whatever they actually are, are not automatically synonymous with "truth" and "right".

But they are synonymous with the will of the majority in democratic elections. "Truth" and "right" are also not exclusive to elitist intellectuals.

People like to drag Michael Moore out as some kind of proof of their silliness. Lots of luck proving that more than 2% of Democrats payed any attention to him at all -

THe reason is that he had great influence in the demo strategy.
he was feted in the presidents box at the convention.
A lot of his talking points from the movie ended up being used word for word in the democratic campaign

go ahead : superimpose where michael moore movie was shown a lot and the votes by county.

in nj, princeton and hudson county is whre the movie was shown and also the big kerry votes


i was in princeton when it was being shown. all the academics were doing a tsk tsk , lets go eat chinese food thing

in my little corner of the world I know of many people who voted against Bush based solely on the Micheal Moore film. FWIW
