Rock Salt Ionic Lamps

I know, not a direct competitor to the Ionic Bulb, but much more attractive...

I have one of these, but have not tried the smoke test...

Supposedly they cleanse the air with negative ions from the rock salt. The downside is they use an incandescent bulb... :(

I can buy enough felt to make 10 snuggies for $35 (seriously people, have you ever seen one of those things and seen first hand just how crappy, cheap, and awful they are...yet in their first three months, they sold over $50M worth...and then moved on to a run rate of almost $100M a month at one point).

I can buy a crappy 2nd gen mobile phone for $19 and a refurbished laptop for $150 yet I still forked out $600 for an unlocked 3G iPhone.

It's not necessarily the product - it's the timing and the marketing and the pitch that get things moving...and since no one has really done this with the ionic bulb, there's a great chance it will take off.

We'll see how this turns out. I'm bullish.

You are missing the point. The ultimate idea about this product is to save money...
*don't have to replace bulbs all the time
*save energy
*Save potential medical expenses with clean air
*plus it clean the air WHILE the light are on

With what you recommend are two separate units...a air purifier and a light. Two separate operating unit cause extra energy

Their advertising?
Their buzz all over the stock trading community?
Are they #1 on IHUB boards?
Has the pps risen 700% in 10 days?

Go ahead and waste your time with silly posts about obscure bulbs.
