AJ, I too consider your posts as useful as the top tier on this thread. I agree that charting and TA and fundies support some positions while other positions have no basis in history, wave analysis, TA or anything but the sheer determination of "I'm right and you're wrong neener-neener."

When critics display the panache of those who thrive in AOL flame rooms, impressing the grrrlz w/thr abl-ET 2 cmmnic8 in hyroglyfx, and offer nothing useful or original beyond an unsupported 'I agree' or 'I disagree', I've found it useless to continue the discourse. Then I begin prefacing my posts by addressing them to a certain few who've demonstrated critical thinking capacities.

I hope you'll reconsider; if not, I'd like to hear where you intend to post.

if you left it would the thread's loss, ajtj. you are one of the very few posters on this board worth reading, and although my approach is considerably different i, for one, value not only your thoughts, but the civil manner in which you present them.

unfortunately the noise level here is very, very high, and with a three-week old daughter i simply don't have the energy to sort out enough signal from the noise to participate in "real" conversations.

in the interests of sharing, the reasons i went long friday were (a) i knew there would be a ramp for CSCO earnings (regardless of where the market was) and (b) i got a buy signal on my favorite chart, the 15-minute. turns out i was a day early, but that's alright, it has still been a nicely profitable ride.

interestingly, the 15-minute also gave me a weak sell signal late yesterday, so after the obligatory morning jam-job i expect a nice little plunge.

AJTJ, your absence will be felt. I don't post much, but I for one greatly value your comments, and your work from the TA side. In fact, it's a tribute to the success of this board (and folks like you and Zeev) that all the malcontent ankle-biters from SI like Lucretius and da chief are showing up on this board now. Ignoring them works wonders, however, difficult though it may be at times.

Give it another chance -- there are lots of us who find great value in your posts.
