if you left it would the thread's loss, ajtj. you are one of the very few posters on this board worth reading, and although my approach is considerably different i, for one, value not only your thoughts, but the civil manner in which you present them.

unfortunately the noise level here is very, very high, and with a three-week old daughter i simply don't have the energy to sort out enough signal from the noise to participate in "real" conversations.

in the interests of sharing, the reasons i went long friday were (a) i knew there would be a ramp for CSCO earnings (regardless of where the market was) and (b) i got a buy signal on my favorite chart, the 15-minute. turns out i was a day early, but that's alright, it has still been a nicely profitable ride.

interestingly, the 15-minute also gave me a weak sell signal late yesterday, so after the obligatory morning jam-job i expect a nice little plunge.
