I agree. In the long run, if a trader is to strictly buy at the ask they are excluding themselves a fair amount of profit over the course of a year or career in trading.
For the sake of moving the pps upward, I will buy at the ask... however my initial position will almost always be established below the ask.
If the ask is .029 and the bid is .021, and one wants to buy 100k shares, clearly it's not just pinching pennies. It's an $800 difference in price if it executes.
Either way, share supply is coming down and if demand continues, the pps will move. IMO
