Price is important, but to disregard the number of shares only means that you are looking at half the picture as well. I would rather have a million shares go up instead 10k. You would be wise to sell before the reverse split if you have the chance.

If you follow your own analysis, the price will drop regardless in the beginning. Best you sell now, let the price drop and then reinvest back in your original amount at the lower rate. This will give you more shares than what the split will have to offer. The new investors that will buy into this stock after it crashes from the reverse split will stand a much better shot of making money, than those who remained faithful and held.

Investors do not win on reverse splits. Do not try and put a positive spin it. If a sub penny stock is forced to reverse split, then you are not clinging to much.
