Large Green.. the question for the 4 Billion might have been a delay tactic.. but it has worked and they are done with all the formalities and everyone is now waiting for Judge Walrath to make a decision. She has all the information and there is no further discussions on this matter by either of the legal groups. She has taken it under advisement and she is getting her ruling typed up and ready and probably proof reading it as we speak!!
The 4 Billion will act as a catalyst to the settlement but will/cannot be a part of the settlement because its a deposit account. Well, thats what the court case is all about but the general consensus here and b JPM themselves admitting that its a deposit kinda gives you an idea which direction her judgment is going to be :)
She will be probably rule on the SJ within the next few days and if she does that, then it will make no difference to the balance sheet because WMI is already counting the 4 Billion as part of its assets. But the sentiment will change and tend towards WMI winning most of the motions and that will be a big boost to everyone. A bigger tax refund in the order of 5 Billion dollars immediately puts everything in our favor. Assets>Liabilities, gives us liquid cash to use, chances of commons being cancelled become even more slim and the best part about it, use the liquid cash to generate money!! CASH is king and imagine what 4+5= 9 Billion dollars of CASH can do!!
