It's an element of boiler room strategy.Paid by MM'S and questionable brokerage firms to create an environment of doubt and uncertainty in the stock in an attempt to keep the price down while their clients or they themselves add to their positions. Then the paid pumpers (by MM's or questionable brokerage firms) pump a stock (usually a shell company)whether it has merit or not for the sole purpose of driving up the price. While the pumping is taking place they're promoting the stock to their clients, subscribers, etc. who begin buying, keeping the upward trend going until they've reached a pre-determined pps value. Then they begin the dump. If you get caught unaware, you get left holding the bag. You are then known as a bag holder. I have to admit I got caught in one last week. BDGN is the symbol. Pumped by HGS. Avoid it and them. Then there are those who pump and bash solely for the purpose of self entertainment, which is actually kind of sad when you think about it. This forum hasn't been to bad. Most bashers seem to reside on the Yahoo boards. Some are rather childish. Sorry Maone, I'm off topic. I'll use the other board next time. GLTA TSHOers !
