What is Embbeded FINREAD?

Embedded FINREAD specifications extend the security and interoperability principles of FINREAD to a larger base of card accepting devices: mobile phones, personal digital assistants (PDAs), TV set-top boxes, etc.


They are based on Java(TM) profiles specific to each class of devices, namely MHP (Multimedia Home Platform) for set-top boxes and MIDP (Mobile Information Device Profile) for mobiles. A demonstration of both of these was given at Cartes 2003 (Paris, November 2003) by Canal Plus Technologies and Sagem.
