A 3:1 stock split isn't going to change anything. A person with 10 shares of UCAD worth $15 each will, after the split, have 30 shares of UCAD and they will now be worth about $5 each. Nothing gained or lost.
The MMs don't have to run out and buy shares to cover with yet. The UCAD dividend can't be traded for a year so the MMs have a year to find some UCAD shares to cover the mythical naked short positions. UCAD will likely be trading at a fraction of what they are trading at today once the smoke and FUD clears so there's no rush for the MMs to buy UCAD shares Monday morning.
The 3:1 split, whenever it occurs, isn't going to change anything.
