Then the first thing that the person being sued has to do is prove he is not the Alias posting the libelous remarks.

If he can't prove that ... then the law firm's background research of the posters was accurate.

There have been several Internet libel lawsuits discussed in the news within the past couple weeks. One condo/apartment community in Chicago just won a case against an ex-tenant for her Twitter remarks. A clothing designer has a lawsuit against Courtney Love for her slanderous remarks. The media lawyers interviewed said it is going to become more and more prevalent because people feel they have some sense of anonymity protection when they post through Twitter, Facebook or other message sites. BUT ... it's not the case.

Posting factual, verifiable remarks about any stock issuer should never be a problem. All a person needs to do is post the facts .... let investors make their decisions based on that. Unsupported bashing to the point of destruction should not be allowed.
