New low-footprint version of Trusted Logic’s Trusted Execution Environment now available for mid-range mobile platforms
Trusted Logic, the leader in embedded security solutions, today announced the launch of Trusted Foundations™ Standard, a low memory footprint version of its Trusted Foundations software.
Trusted Foundations is a Trusted Execution Environment enabling the execution of sensitive applications and the access control of critical device resources on mobile handsets. It also allows the fast, flexible and reliable implementation of security features, offering a common set of secure resources across a range of hardware platforms. Trusted Foundations is today the most appropriate security software to expose ARM® TrustZone® technology to the upper application layers.
Trusted Foundations Standard brings state-of-the-art security features, previously available only on premium smartphones, to higher-volume, mass-market devices. Consumer applications protecting personal data or enabling mobile payment can now rely on Trusted Foundations Standard security environment.
Its compact memory footprint of 48KB gives silicon vendors the flexibility to embed it entirely in an on-chip RAM of 64KB, using the remaining 16KB memory for secure services and secure drivers (e.g. access to hardware-based cryptography or secure keyboard).
Trusted Foundations Standard also provides a comprehensive API for the development of security services on embedded systems, thanks to its Secure Services Development Interface. It also provides a full Trusted Execution Environment that supports the parallel execution of multiple services.
Trusted Foundations Standard is the perfect security environment for feature phones and other portable devices, as well as any embedded device in the automotive or industrial markets. It completes the Trusted Foundations product range, with Trusted Foundations Advanced already addressing premium smartphones.

Dominique Bolignano, CEO of Trusted Logic, comments: “With Trusted Foundations Standard, Trusted Logic extends its reach towards the mid-range mobile telephony and embedded systems markets. It also allows third-party software developers to access advanced security resources, and consumers to benefit from more reliable and trusted devices.”
