Whirlpool Closes Indiana Plant And Sends Jobs To Mexico

not green jobs...but the FN Free Trade agreement..pure and simple....thats what started the changing of the wealth and the demise of the middle class in America.

i do commercial roofing (30 yrs by the way)..had a contract to do a manufacturers roof over 6 years (yes it was a huge plant, i wont mention its name, but you can pick anyone)

they opted to Mexico..for whats its worth...workers lost their jobs..all subs lost their jobs etc., landscapers, and yes me the roofer. and dont forget the city and state...

best to all, sorry for the vent....have a great weekend everyone, great site

roguedolphin: Another great post by Slider. Thanks for posting it here. One comment on this quote from Slider's piece:

Current lifestyles and consumption patterns of the affluent
middle class - involving high meat intake, use of fossil
fuels, appliances, air-conditioning, and suburban housing -
are not sustainable.”
- Maurice Strong, Rio Earth Summit

This, unfortunately, is true. Oil is limited; ngas will last for maybe 50 years, and coal can be transformed into coal oil, but in 100 years, unless there are extreme advances in solar, wind and geothermal energy sources, things are going to be extremely different. Think freezing off your rearend in winter and sweating like a pig in summer. Forget highrise buildings. And that is only the beginning.

By the way, watch "The End of the Republic" and digest the quotes in that Slider piece, then look at the bios of Obama's czars. Think Obama might be the "closer" for the NWO deal?
How can any sane person conclude otherwise.
