Neomedia got the outcome they were looking for. Scanbuy did not get the outcome they were looking for. I don't have to jump through any hoops to describe it as a win for Neomedia.
Obviously, Scanbuy did not want to have to license the IP nor pay for past infringement. Sure, they can now cross '048 without being sued, but they sure as hell didn't want to have to pay for that privilege..
LOL. I think you need to read again the post of JCG's that you are responding to. It appeared evident to me that he was saying this was not a win-win scenario. It was a win for Neom and a devastating capitulation for Scanbuy, or at least for John Bulkeley. It may also be a win for the industry as a whole (and I think it is), but to suggest Scanbuy did not get the short end of the stick is, again, a failure to accept reality.
