#190204 RE: hangdog #190197

From what Hangdog just posted, it certainly looks like there will not be news of a settlement agreement. The litigation will continue in parallel with ongoing settlement discussions. Looks to me like the parties did not want to ask for another extension to pursue settlement discussions. Just continue the litigation on schedule and if a settlement agreement happens, it happens.

h,thanks for all your info/update.I believe this will be going on back and forth for quite awhile.LM said the best way to win the case is to keep getting more and more licensing deals/contracts.I believe him and think we will see more coming in the near future very very soon. glta

Hangdog: Thanks for the effort. That sounds exactly like any settlement conversation in IP. Most cases settle and settlement talks never really end.

HD, thanks that was a very general conversation... but you know and the Lawyer knows if there's a settlement coming he wouldn't tell you no matter what.

He just saying what is public info, I guess we will all know soon that this going to trial or settlement.

Thanks, hangdog. I'm no attorney, but if I were I know one thing, I would never ever lie to or mislead the judge in any communication with him. Those two requests for extensions speak for themselves.

Thanks hangdog, for all you do.
In any case, if I'm a lawyer and there is a settlement in front of the judge I wouldn't say much.

"Well there is always potential settlement discussions ongoing when there are cases like this."

To me, that sounds like an Attorney trying to avoid saying "yes, we settled".

For someone directly involved, he seemed to treat this case like their #48 priority.... not a high priority.
Sounds a bit covert.

What exactly is "filing claim construction for a Markman hearing"....

didn't we already do this 2 years ago?
