It's really a shame that the government( SEC, DOJ and IRS too) waited so long to step in. they knew what was happening with cmkx years and years ago and they just sat down and watched more people getting scammed and more lives being destroyed. the government may not have dropped the ball on this scam, but they certainly picked up the ball so late. pitiful.
