"you still recommend to dump all cookies and temp files every once in awhile, how oftend do you do it"

I dump my temp files and cookies once a day, or more. That's just me. For me, I notice that many cookies are labeled as "dangerous" by spyware programs and dumping cookies takes care of that. Also, I have my temp files setting at 10MB which is all you need.

"also I do have that password complete on, but sometimes when you click the username it does not give you a password"

If, at one time, you told it to *not* remember the password, then it never will after that. That's why you have to go in and clear all passwords first, then it will ask you next time if you want to save it, and you should say Yes.

"also those sites that remember your zip code, like moviefone.com or weather.com, once you erase you have to do that process all over"

That is the difference between "Clear Forms" and "Clear Passwords" at that Tools location I gave you. Zip codes etc. fall under "forms." When you clear the passwords, you don't clear the forms.

It can take a while to get used to forms, passwords, etc. but I feel it's the easiest way to do things.

"also what happens if you forget the username"

It actually gives you a pull-down box with the user name in it!

So, in other words, when you arrive at a log-in page at a website like iHub, you just double-click on the log-in box, click on the appropriate moniker (spree99) which appears automatically below it in the pull-down menu, and after your password auto-fills you just click "log in." No typing required... just mouse clicks. Even though you have already dumped temp files and cookies.

Hard to describe, but it's cool.

I save the log-in pages of my favorite sites as hot-links in my "links" bar. Clickety-clickety-click and I'm in, even though cookies are gone.

spree99

Another way is to use Ace Utilities. You can set it up where it will not erase cookies like "Investorshub" and "Stockcharts" even when you run the Wizard.

For my non critical web sites I use the same password. That way you have less passwords to remember.
