SPNG could have been a third party benficiary to the payment, in which they could be entitled to direct payment back tothem since the benefit of the payment from RM was to flow to SPNg -- in theory

they would short the stock to reduce the price and hence end up with a lot more shares of the target entity. this is a very common practice in capital markets!!!
