I am not suggesting that QASP is seeking to become a military supplier (have no idea), but I disagree that QASP has no chance of coming close to the military. The military / gov't spends multiple $$MM in small businesses every year looking for innovative ideas through SBIR (Small Business Innovative Research) and STTR (Small Business Technology Transfer) programs. Fuel costs, 2 wars in logistically-challenged areas (I forget the % but I believe that largest % of our soldiers that have died in the war were directly related to logistics and specifically support of fuel convoys, etc). If QASP's products are as great as they say, then either the SBIR or STTR path may be a way to get their foot in the door. Also, wasn't Dean a past member/director of the North American Composite Consortium that did a lot of work with ONR (Office of Naval Research) in the past. Would be nice, and would make sense, but PURE SPECULATION.
